Evaluation of Antioxidant, Cytotoxic, Mutagenic and Other Inhibitory Potentials of Green Synthesized Chitosan Nanoparticles

The current study was performed with aim of evaluating antioxidant, cytotoxicity, ?-amylase, and ?-glucosidase inhibitory activities mutagenicity properties Martynia annua mediated Chitosan nanoparticles (MAL-CNPs). green synthesized MAL-CNPs were characterized confirmed through several characterization techniques, including UV-visible spectroscopy (UV-Vis), high-resolution transmission electron microscopy (HRTEM), scanning (SEM), Fourier-transform infrared (FT-IR), dynamic light scattering (DLS). HR-TEM analysis exhibited that the as-synthesized chitosan are spherical in shape. Furthermore, DLS average size 53 nm maximum diameter 130.7 nm. antioxidant activity results revealed showed DPPH (2,2-diphenyl-1-picrylhydrazyl) (66.78%) H2O2 (91.65%) scavenging at 50 µg/mL concentration. IC50 values 2.431 ?g/mL for H2O2, respectively. MTT (3-4, 5 dimethylthiazol-2yl-2, 5-diphenyltetrazolium bromide) assay dose-dependent cytotoxicity found from concentration MAL-CNPs. remarkable ?-amylase (IC50 1.981 161.8 ?g/mL). No toxic effect Ames test. Further, concluded non-toxic possess adequate antioxidants against cancer cells, ?-glucosidase, activity. Hence, considered biomedical applications after assessment their efficiency safety.
